It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.
About Artful Yoga Gallery
Artful Yoga Gallery is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing accessible, safe spaces for healing, creativity, and self-expression — with a special commitment to supporting neurodivergent communities.
In a world that often struggles to accommodate different ways of thinking, feeling, and experiencing life, neurodivergent individuals can face profound barriers — from overstimulating environments and limited opportunities, to social isolation and lack of representation. These challenges can make it difficult to fully access spaces where growth, creativity, and purpose are nurtured.
At Artful Yoga Gallery, we are here to change that narrative.
We offer accessible creative spaces, personalised mentoring, and pathways for purposeful growth, designed to empower neurodivergent individuals to thrive in their own unique way. We believe every story deserves to be heard, every form of expression deserves a platform, and every individual deserves to be celebrated for who they are — not despite their differences, but because of them.
Here, we break down barriers.
Here, we foster visibility.
Here, we create community.
Because when diverse minds are given space to shine, the world becomes a richer, more beautiful place for us all.
Your donation provides exhibition spaces, mentoring, and personal development programs for neurodivergent communities, fostering connection, growth, and confidence to be seen and celebrated without barriers.
Message from Founder Neha Kumar on her journey, and her dedication to her mother through this space:
“After losing my mum to cancer, she was only 52, she’s the reason I opened AYG. It wasn’t until I was cleaning out her belongings when I discovered a medical letter from 10 years ago, which clearly stated her diagnosis as suffering from clinical depression. It was as though the lightbulb went on.
I wondered how a woman, who never abused her body, smoked nor drank, ate well and didn’t really concern herself in anything. All she did was sleep all day and wake up in the evening to attend to her kids to cook for us and sit with us, this was her daily routine. I never knew that sleeping all day was a sign of depression. In-fact looking back there were a lot of signs that I missed as I wasn’t educated and aware to know better.
Now I do.
What else I’ve learnt is that 95% off all human disease is not hereditary, which means it’s the cause and effect of our environment that makes us fall ill. If that’s the case, I truly believe I could have made things better for my mum and her health journey, and therefore her life. But because it’s too late for that now, I just don’t want this to be another case study for someone else learning too late that they could have prevented something or helped someone they love had they known better.
Stress, overwhelm, poor relationships, and so many human-factors of the modern world is affecting human health. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 60-70% of global deaths are caused by chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes. These are preventable. And we firmly stand by this.
That’s why I had to leave my lavish 6 figure job and start AYG in Nov 2021 after seeing the devastating catalyst that was the pandemic, making us all realise how many struggles we have as a society related to health and mental wellbeing.
I will do this until I can no longer do it. Until then my hope is simple; I want to be able to be in a financial position where I can employ people to work at AYG, currently we only have some casual teachers, and volunteers.
My hope is that someone, somewhere see’s and understands this mission and supports us as I am still doing this 100% on my own with no funding as of yet (we became a fully fledged NFP 27th November 2024).
And I hope that we help MILLIONS of LIVES to be SAVED”.
